On Thursday, January 12, 2023 Dixie Allene Hanson devoted wife, Mother, Grandma, Meme, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and friend passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 74. Dixie fought the fight with cancer with a smile on her face every day. Dixie was born October 10, 1948 to Finis and Mamie Rhoten in Fort Worth, Texas. Dixie treasured her husband William of 53 years, her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her dearest friends. Dixie worked at Repco Replacement Parts in Everman, Texas for 41 years. She worked at Pangburn’s Chocolate Company before that. Dixie loved her job. She was still currently working. Dixie loved family/friend get-togethers. She loved to go shopping. She always enjoyed camping trips and enjoyed all her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She rarely missed any. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents Finis and Mamie Rhoten and her sisters Vickie Roland and Sue Baldwin. She is survived by her three daughters Terri and husband Craig, Tracy and husband Jon, Kim and husband Lowell, and her son Earl and wife Rosa. Eight grandchildren Mary (Wes), Dusty (Bethany), Olivia (Riley), Ricky (Briana), Haley (Blake), Kirstan, Jesenia and Annastin. Ten great grandchildren Makena, Bryson, Trinton, Hunter, Tyce, Colt, Abby, Bettie, Hadley and River and by her sisters Mickie Ray, Doris Dawkins, Betty Martin and brothers, Joe Rhoten and Dickie Rhoten and life long friends Bobo and Cynthia Weatherly and so many other loving family and friends. To know Dixie was to love her.
