BURLESON -- Dolores Ann Oliphant, 65, a homemaker and caretaker of many, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at her home in Burleson. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Apostolic Church, 5200 David Strickland Road, Fort Worth. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. friday at Mountain valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Mrs. Oliphant was born May 3, 1941, in Fort Worth to George Edmond and Tennie Mae Porter Pixler. She married John Oliphant on April 14, 1984, in Fort Worth. She loved singing and had been a member of the Tabor Trio and the Gibbs Family Singers, and was a member of Cornerstone Apostolic Church of Fort Worth. She opened her home to many children over the years and had a great influence on many people's lives. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Marvin Pixler. Survivors: Husband, John L. Oliphant of Burleson; sons, Ronald Glen Johnson and wife, Kerri, and Bobby Lynn Johnson and wife, Beth, all of Crowley; brother, James Pixler and wife, Linda, of Rendon; sisters, Billie Joyce Cooper of Burleson and Nancy Cole of Decatur; grandchildren, Brittainy Mullins and Stephanie, Tyler and Bailey Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Brooklynne Mullins.
