Donald Kenneth Mitchell

Donald Kenneth Mitchell, 90, of Crowley retired owner and operator of Don Mitchell Heating & Air Conditioning, passed away Friday, June 22, in Ft. Worth. Service: 9AM Wednesday, at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: 12 Noon, Ridge Park Cemetery, Hillsboro. Visitation: 6-8PM Tuesday, at the Funeral Home. Donald was born in Hillsboro, and was a resident of Fort Worth and Tarrant County for 85 Years. He served in the Navy during WWII as a Petty Officer Second Class. He was an avid hunter. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jay Mitchell; brother, C. Dudley Mitchell; and sister, Jo Nell Hinshaw. Don is survived by his wife of 70 years, Edna McKenzie Mitchell of Crowley; son Larry Brantley Mitchell and wife, Alice of Glen Rose; daughter, Susan Lynn Mitchell-Heil and husband, Jim of Crowley. Granddaughters, Kimberly Collins Stieber, Kaleese Mitchell-Williams, and husband Trey, N. Ashley Heil, and Larynn Mitchell.
