Donnie Lee Dees

May 13, 1947 — June 6, 2021

Burleson

Donnie Lee Dees was born in Houston, Texas on May 13, 1947 and passed away in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by his family on June 6, 2021.

Donnie attended Burleson High School and later became a proud infantryman in the U.S. Army.  He served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge.  He earned over forty trips traveling the world as a top selling agent for Allstate Insurance.  He retired from Allstate in 2001, and lived out his days traveling to places such as Hawaii, Costa Rica, Alaska and was proud of his greatest adventure in Tanzania.  He loved the outdoors and shared many camping and fishing trips with his grandkids.  His hobbies included studying Texas History, listening to music, and attending grandkids’ baseball & soccer games, track meets, and plays.  He always loved to play with his grandkids, whether it be baseball college, a science experiment, playing the piano, teasing them or playing jokes, their Pawpaw brought many laughs and smiles.

He is survived by his wife Pahla, married for fifty-one years, his son and daughter-n-law Dustin and Tonya Dees, his daughter and son-n-law Kristen and Scott Patterson, his four grand children Kora & Kyler Dees, Ruby Claire & Kate Patterson, his sister and brother-in-law Barbara Ann and Barry Williams, his brother and sister-n-law Kenneth and Laurie Dees.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, J.C. and Billie Louise Dees.

He will be missed by many, but we know our joys will be greater, our love will be deeper, our life will be fuller because we had him.
