Donnie Ray Lewis, 64, a retired guard for LTV Aircraft, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at his residence in Burleson. Funeral: 9:00 A.M. Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: 1:00 P.M. at Pilot Grove Cemetery near Van Alstyne, Texas. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Donnie was born January 1, 1943 in Grayson County, Texas to Bill C. and Loucile Joyce Lewis. Donnie was a member of Arlington Masonic Lodge # 438. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 son , Donnie Ray Lewis Jr. Survivors: Wife, Linda Lewis of Burleson; son, Brandon Lewis of Burleson; daughters, Gleta Smith and husband Mike of Burleson, Tammy Jones and husband Tom of Crowley; grandchildren, Joshua Lewis, Courtney Austin, Joseph Smith, Chelsea Austin, Avery Lewis; sisters, Billie Bell and husband Colyse, Laura Safrit and husband Smokey, Sandy Lewis.
