Doris French

Doris was born on August 26, 1928, in Burleson, Texas, in the old Reece Prairie Community. She passed on to her heavenly home, peacefully, on October 31, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. She loved bowling in her adult years. She and her husband, Leon, lived in Abilene, while raising their only son, Wade. In the early seventies, they moved back to Cleburne. Doris was a past President of the Abilene Women's Bowling Association and a dedicated member for years. She worked in the banking industry for many years. She had many friends and family who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rhoda Russell, husband, Leon, and brothers, G.R., Jack and David Russell. Doris is survived by her son, Wade Leon French. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 1 p.m. - Caddo Cemetery, Joshua, Texas.
