Doris Elizabeth Sard

Doris Elizabeth Sard, 91, of Burleson passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016. Service: 10 a.m. Friday in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Harold Jayne officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation: 9 a.m. prior to the service. Doris was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Blum to George Otis Hand and Minnie Ince. She loved reading, gardening, laughing, board games, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers and traveling. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bob Reid Sard. Survivors: She is survived by her son, Bob Russell Sard and wife, Janie, of Burleson; daughter, Karen Kalapp of Crown Point, Ind.; son, Rex Sard of Burleson; grandchildren, Leslie Chamchot and husband, Nae, Kim Wines and husband, Paul, David Kalapp and wife, Bianca, Jeremy Sard and wife, Susan, D'Ann McComas and husband, Matt, Allison Currin and husband, Scott, Jonathan Kalapp and wife, Amanda, Leigh Ann Spann and husband, Mike, and Brian Sard and wife, Amanda; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
