Dorothy Faye McAfee, 76, of Burleson, a homemaker, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, with her family and friends by her side. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Interment: 3 p.m. in Sturdivant Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Dorothy Faye McAfee was born June 17, 1933, in Mineral Wells to Albert Burton and Icie Bernice Elders Majors. She married Eldric James McAfee on Nov. 16, 1979, in Arlington. She was a Baptist. Survivors: Husband, E.J. "Jim" McAfee of Burleson; son, Larry Hall and wife, Janice, of Burleson; daughters, Carrol Elliott and husband, Charles, of Burleson and Donna Hall of Fort Worth; sister, Barbara Holmes and husband, Donald, of Detroit, Mich.; grandchildren, Tammy, Bridget, Richard and Cindy; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
