Dorothy Still Parks Snider, 93, entered her heavenly home on August 25, 2016 in Glen Rose. Celebration of Life Ceremony: 2PM Monday August 29, Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Joshua. Visitation: 2-4PM Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial: Private. In lieu of flowers please donate to a mission of choice. Dorothy was born in Deming, New Mexico, May 21, 1923 to George and Rebecca Still. She married Hubert Parks on January 1, 1943 and Donald Snider in 1978, both preceding her in death. Dorothy was the eldest of her two sisters, Georgia, who preceded her in death, and Rebecca. Her life was spent in ministry beginning at the age of 15. Dorothy was ordained with the UPCI serving churches in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. She was a missionary in both Africa and Japan and was an assistant pastor in Kansas City, Mo. and later pastored a growing church in Moberly, Missouri. She spent her last years ministering to the seniors at Calvary Church in Ft. Worth. Dorothy was faithful until her death sharing the good news of the gospel. She will be greatly missed by family, friends, and the many she ministered to over the years. A special thanks to the staff at Glen Rose Nursing Home for their kind and loving care. We will always remember your kindnesses. Survivors: daughters, Sharon, Ruth, Rebecca, Faith; son, Jonathan; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Rebecca; many nieces & nephews; step-children, Vaunda, Jim, and Donald; 5 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren; many loving friends.
