Dulan Rice of Fort Worth, Texas, met his Lord and Savior face to face on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Milton, Florida, to G.C. and Fanny Rice. He married Elsie Earlene Rice on Feb. 24, 1946. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Crestmont Baptist Church with Pastor Frankie Rainey and Pastor Marty Strayhorn officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park-Fort Worth. Dulan served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945. He loved fast pitch softball and played into his 70s. He was called into the ministry later in life and attended college in Mississippi and then Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating in 1965. He loved the Lord with all his heart, soul and mind. He was a mighty prayer warrior and giver. He loved his family well. Dulan is survived by daughter, Marion Rice Donaldson, two granddaughters, their husbands, great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, G.C. and Fanny Rice; wife, Elsie Earlene Rice; siblings, Loyce Rice Dykes, Herbert Rice, Nolan Rice and Earl Rice; and son-in-law, H. Fred Donaldson.
