E. E. (Ernie) Wooten

E.E. "Ernie" Wooten, 82, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at home. Service: In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Memorials: The family asks that memorials be made to the Texas Trapshooters Youth Scholarship Fund, 800 Baltimore Drive, Hereford, Texas 79045. He was born May 5, 1930, in Strawn, to Ernest Paul and Evie Cox Wooten. Ernie loved fishing and trapshooting. He was past president of the Texas Trapshooters Association and a member of the Texas Trapshooters Assocation Hall of Fame. Ernie was one of the founders of the Texas Trapshooters Youth Scholarship Program. He was a member of Crestmont Baptist Church and the Burleson Senior Center. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charlie Wooten. Survivors: Wife, Pat Wooten of Burleson; son, Paul Wooten and wife, Marsha, of Tampa, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Sue Wooten of Dublin, Helen Hill of Brewton, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews.
