Eddy Dwayne Mckinney

Eddy Dwayne McKinney of Joshua was born March 13, 1968, in Fort Worth and passed away on Dec. 28, 2020, in Dallas, surrounded by his loving family.
Eddy graduated from Covington High School in 1986 and married Sherri LaRock in Joshua. They were married for 15 years. Eddy owned McKinney Automotive and also worked for A&B Automotive in Joshua. His quality time included spending time with his family and his many friends and working on his Harley and his Barracuda.
Eddy will always be remembered as a generous, kind and loving soul. He was always your first call for help, because he never failed to get there.
Eddy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and LaVerne Lackey, as well as two of his beloved Dobermans. Nakona's and Carrie's ashes will accompany Eddy to Heaven in his final resting place.
His survivors are his wife, Sherri of Joshua; parents, Charles and Betty McKinney of Blum, Texas; his son, Alex McKinney of San Antonio, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law, Slade and Abby Dewett of Midlothian, Texas; his daughter, Lauren Thornbury of Round Rock, Texas; six grandchildren, Jack, Jason, Lance, Natalie, Tristen and Jordyn; brothers, Larry McKinney of Blum, Texas; Roy McKinney of Weatherford, Texas; Drew McKinney of Magnolia, Texas; Danny McKinney of Blum, Texas; and sister Andrea McKinney Bradshaw of Blum, Texas; and numerous other family members.
Eddy will be mourned deeply and never forgotten.
