Eddy Dwayne Mckinney

Eddy Dwayne McKinney was born March 13, 1968, and passed away Dec. 28, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2020, at Blanton Cemetery.

Eddy and his wife, Sherri, were married for 15 years.

Eddy owned McKinney Automotive and had many friends. His quality time included spending time with his family and friends and working on his Harley and his Barracuda.

Eddy will always be remembered as a generous, kind and loving soul. He was always your first call for help, because he never failed to get there.

Eddy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and LaVerne Lackey, as well as two of his beloved Dobermans. NaKona and Carrie’s ashes will accompany Eddy to Heaven, in his final resting place.

His survivors are his parents, Charles and Betty McKinney of Blum, Texas; wife, Sherri McKinney of Joshua, Texas; son, Alex McKinney of San Antonio; son and daughter-in-law, Slade and Abby DeWett of Midlothian, Texas; daughter, Loren Thornburg of Round Rock, Texas; six grandchildren, Jack, Jason, Lance, Natalie, Tristen and Jordyn; siblings, Larry McKinney of Blum, Texas, Roy McKinney of Weatherford, Texas, Drew McKinney of Magnolia, Texas, Danny McKinney of Blum, Texas, and Andrea McKinney Bradshaw of Blum, Texas; and numerous other family members.

Eddy will be mourned deeply and never forgotten.
