Eldon Wesley Coates

Eldon Wesley Coates, 74, passed away March 12, 2014, at home. Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, March 17, 2014 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Eldon was born November 22, 1939, in Parsons, Kansas to Eldon Van and Alta Johnston Coates. Eldon proudly served in the US Air Force. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on the coast. Eldon loved spending time with family and restoring old cars. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Survivors: wife, Betty Coates of Joshua; children, Donna Kae Parnell of Waco, David Wesley Coates of Virginia Beach of Virginia, and Dean Van Coates of Joshua; 4 grandchildren, Jason Ludwig and wife Amy, Dustin Ludwig, Nichole Coates, and Kyle Coates; 2 great grandchildren; sister Alta "Pinky" Lewis and extended family and friends.
