Ellen Paul Key

Ellen Paul Key went to be with our Lord on November 18, 2020.  She was born the eighth child on December 11, 1926 to James Andrew and Mattye Cray Gibbs in Acherly, Texas.

Ellen moved to Fort Worth in the late 40’s where she got a job at Leonard’s Department store downtown.  A couple of years later she met the love of her life, Kenneth Key.  They married October 23, 1953.  They were married 49 years before Kenneth’s death in 2002.  In April of 57 their only child was born.

Ellen had several jobs including First National Bank, Service Engineers, and Ben Hogan Golf Co. where she retired in 1992 after 35 years.

Ellen loved God, family, and friends.  She was an elder at Hillside Memorial for years.  She was there every Sunday, God willing.  She was certified as a hospice Volunteer with Mission Hospice.  She was very artistic.  She could make anything from bread dough, flowers, ceramics, but best known for her oil paintings.

Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be dearly missed by so many people whom she touched their lives.

She is survived by; daughter Sheree Herrera of Joshua; grandson Tray and wife Julie Rohleder of Burleson; granddaughter Jessica and husband Brett Galbreath of Joshua; eight great grandchildren; Hayley Moreno and husband Sammy; Caitlyn Rohleder; Brek Galbreath; Kelsey Rohleder; Braylen Galbreath; Tessa Rohleder and Brelie Galbreath.
