BURLESON -- Elmer V. Belt, 83, a retired steel worker for McVain Steel, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at North Point Community Church in Saginaw. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Mr. Belt was born March 1, 1924 in Sylvester to John Cora and Charlie Mertle Gray Belt. He was a Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Coy Belt, and a sister, Coramae Franklin. Survivors: Sons, Ernest Belt of Fort Worth; Robert Belt of Santo, Danny Belt of Cleburne; daughters, Bonnie Hobbs of Whitesboro, Debbie Riley of Sanger, Paula Darden of Azle, Shelby Street of Rio Vista; brother, Johnny Belt of Mansfield; sister, Clara Maulden of Burleson, Marie Turner of Burleson; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
