BURLESON -- Emmett Pfannstiel, 84, of Burleson, a retired farmer, died Tuesday Sept. 16, 2008, in Crowley. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Cross Roads Fellowship Church in Joshua. Interment: Prairie Springs Cemetery in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Emmett Lane Pfannstiel was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Cameron to Ernest and Lona Beard Pfannstiel. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Pfannstiel and Homer Baker; cousins, Bill and Cricket Atchison with whom he lived for many years. Survivors: Brother, Harvey Pfannstiel and wife, Loice, of Fort Worth; sister, Laura McMen of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
