Eric Roy Scott

Eric Roy Scott, 43 of Grand Prairie, a truck driver for Averitt Express, died Wednesday Feb. 24, 2010 in Arlington. Service: A private family interment will be held in Bethesda Cemetery in Burleson at a later date. Eric was born April 5, 1966 in Fort Worth to Donald Allen Sr. and Georgia Rhodes Scott. He was a 1984 graduate of Burleson High School. Eric enjoyed making jewelry, collecting hot wheels, loved Nascar, traveling, and was crazy about his little dog, Annie. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Allen Scott Sr., a sister in law, Doreen Scott, and an uncle, Vernon Rhodes. Survivors: Son, Jonathan Cody Scott and wife, Amber of Sachse; mother, Georgia Scott of Burleson; brother, Donald Allen Scott Jr. of Burleson; sister, Candace R. Waits and husband, Brian of Plano; nieces, Elizabeth Christine Scott of Burleson, Erin Claire Waits of Plano; nephew, Timothy Galen Scott of Burleson; grandson, Sampson Alexander Scott of Sachse; lots of friends at Averitt Express and Federal Express.
