BURLESON -- Eugene Lee "Gene" Gregg, 77, a retired Winn-Dixie maintenance worker and homebuilder, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2005, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 9 a.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Chapel, Pastor Bill Strayhorn officiating. Burial: 4 p.m. in Dennison Cemetery, Idabel, Okla. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: American Cancer Society or First United Methodist Church of Joshua. Eugene Gregg was born Dec. 26, 1927, in Idabel, Okla. He had a passion for building and helping others. Gene found an outlet for his passion in the countless hours he donated to Habitat for Humanity and working at the church. His hobbies included wood carving and gardening. Survivors: Beloved wife of 42 years, Betty Gregg; daughters, Jo Hilton, Patty Balisle; sisters, Lucille Hedger, Willa May Parsons; brother, James Dale Gregg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of family members and friends.
