Evelyn Gracie Westmoreland

Evelyn Gracie Westmoreland, 93, of Crowley, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017. Graveside Service: 2 PM Thursday, January 26th, Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 10AM-12PM, Thursday, prior to service. Evelyn was born on July 20, 1923 to Wiley Elmer and Gracie (Billings) Carroll in Bennington, OK. Evelyn lived in Texas and Oklahoma. While working at Sweetwater Broom Factory, she met Eldon Westmoreland, known to all as "Curly". They were married on August 20, 1953, they also attended and served at Fundamental Baptist Church. As we all know- she loved to cook and we loved to eat whatever she made. Her favorite cake was coconut and she loved "spicy hot" Mexican food. She enjoyed crafts and working crossword puzzles. Evelyn "could" and "did" work circles around anyone. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curly; her brothers, Lewis, Arthur, Wiley, and Bill; also her sister, Mary. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Seale of Burleson; granddaughter, Lynette Wilson and husband, James of Burleson; grandsons, Randall Seale and Matt Merger of Phoenix, AZ, and Gary Seale of Bedford; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
