Everett Rush Rector Iii

Everett “Skip” R. Rector III also known as Woodeye, of Burleson Texas passed away Monday January 17, 2022. Skip was born the third born son of Everett R. Rector Jr. and Juanita Hopper Rector on August 11, 1944. Skip was a US Navy Veteran having served his country on three tours in Vietnam. Skip was a US Postal Carrier who also worked in the construction industry and was considered a Jack-of-All trades by those closest to him. Skip loved his family, fishing, motorcycles, roller skating, music, working on small engines and going to Winstar every chance he could! Skip met Sally, the love of his life, on a blind date New Year’s Eve 1972 and they later married on April 6, 1973. They would have celebrated their 49th year of marriage this year. Skip was loved by all that met him, he never met a stranger and was always there to come to the rescue if you needed him.

Skip is preceded in death by his father, Everett R. Rector Jr., his mother, Juanita Hopper Rector and his brother, John A. Rector. Skip is survived by his wife, Sally Rector, son, Kevin W. Rector and his wife Lea Ann, daughter Vickie Bonnell and husband Lindsey, daughter Ann Griffith and husband Dave and son John Rector and wife Rebekah. Eight grandkids, Landon Rector, Drew Carroll, Trever Carroll, Sidnee Rector, Ashton Rector, Chandler Waybourn, Logan Rector and Marley Rector. Four great grandkids, Jaymien, Brynn, Chase and Posh. Skip is also survived by his brother Charles Rector and his wife Doris, and sister Sandra Belhumeur and her husband Marc, and sister in law Margaret Rector, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many special friends.
