BURLESON -- Frances Omadean Grubbs, 84, a homemaker, died Sunday, June 19, 2005, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Burleson Church of Christ. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Mrs. Grubbs was born July 5, 1920, in Quanah to L.G. and Florence Jordan Gafford. She married Marvin J. Grubbs May 8, 1943, in Abilene. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking and was a member of Burleson Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; daughter, Sherry Grubbs, in 1979; brother, J.P. Gafford; and a sister, Julia Hatcher. Survivors: Daughters, Barbara J. Zink and husband, Buz of Alamogordo, N.M., Marca Peel and husband, Joe of Burleson; son, Marion J. Grubbs and wife, Kay of Poolville; sister, Marcel Kirkman of Houston; grandchildren, Kerry Maupin, Cindy Stagner, Tammy Childress, Tim Maupin, Macey Berry, Merick Grubbs, Dyllon Grubbs, Daniel Peel, Andrew Peel, Jonathan Peel; 12 great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
