Frances Jones Johnston

BURLESON -- Frances Jones Johnston, 89, a retired cook for Burleson I.S.D. died Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Granbury. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Bethesda Cemetery. Frances was born July 28, 1918, in Cleburne to William Henry and Florence See Jones. Frances loved fishing, ceramics and gardening. She also loved playing Forty-Two and many other games. She was a longtime member of Burleson Church of Christ since 1951. Survivors: Sons, Billy Dale Johnston and wife, Norma, of Granbury and Norman Gale Johnston of Meridian; daughters, Barbara Estes Killam and husband, Sam, of Granbury and Deborah Kay Eakin and husband, David, of Alvarado; sister, Jessie Mumford of Weatherford; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
