JOSHUA -- Frank D. Kinnear, 101, of Joshua, retired owner of Machine Specialties in Fort Worth, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at his home in Joshua. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Greenacres Memorial Park, Cleburne. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Joshua Youth Fellowship, Joshua FFA Alumni Scholorship Fund, Joshua Public Library, or Community Hospice Of Texas, 1208 B West Henderson St., Cleburne, Texas 76033. Frank D. Kinnear was born Nov. 24, 1908, in Grove City, Pa., the son of Francis D. and Tillie Cline Kinnear. Most of his early life was spent in Franklin and he worked for Galena-Signal Oil Co. and later Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. in Franklin before moving to Fort Worth in 1953 as manager of the CPT's rock bit department. He married Leona Chipman on Jan. 14, 1956, in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona in 2003; a brother, Charles; and a son, Raymond C. Kinnear. Survivors: Sons, James Kinnear and wife, Linda, of Joshua, F. David Kinnear of Seneca, Pa.; daughters, Linda Shaw and husband, Barry, of Joshua, Barbara Wabrick of West Mifflin, Pa., Katy Hosier and Carolee Michener of Franklin, Pa.; grandchildren, Jeff, Kristin, Courtney Kinnear, Keri Cyr and husband, B.J. Weber, Katy Cyr; and children of Raymond, Mike and Tracy.
