Franklin Eugene "Gene" Miller

Franklin Eugene "Gene" Miller, 91, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017. His funeral will be held in Memphis, Texas on January 3rd, 2018. He will be buried at the Fairview Cemetery there in Memphis next to both of his parents. To Gene's contemporaries, his nickname was Jute. Born July 28, 1926, to James Earl Melvin & Sarah Idella Bledsoe Miller in Wellington, TX. Gene was the fourth of six children. He was married to Helen McCravey Miller from 1950 until their divorce in 1980. Gene passed peacefully in Weatherford, TX where he lived for seven years. Gene is survived by his sister, Shirley Riley of Canyon, TX., Helen M. Miller, his son Bret and daughter-in-law Pam Miller, both of Weatherford, TX., his daughter Tracy Brown of Pompano Beach, Fl. four grandchildren, Grant Miller, Madison Miller, Ryan Brown and Kristen Brown, two step-grandchildren Sarah Buller and Sharon Livesay, Sharon's husband Steven Livesay and seven great-step-grandchildren Megan, Chris, Matt, Trevor, Cole, Alexandra and Cora. Gene was part of the greatest generation America will ever know. He will be with God forever.
