Fredrick William Henkelman Jr., 83, of Burleson, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017. Funeral Service: 10AM Friday, November 24, 2017 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the funeral home. Fred was born July 28, 1934 in Clifton to Fredrick William Sr. and Elizabeth (Braune) Henkelman. He was a loving father and grandfather. Fred was an avid sports enthusiast and knew all the local players and their stats. He was a longtime girls' softball coach, as well as, a member of the Burleson Sports Hall of Fame. Fred proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He held the title of Master Mason at Burleson Lodge #649. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Morelock Henkelman; and his parents. Survivors: daughter, Helen Williams and husband, Blaine of Burleson; grandchildren, Abbigail and Paxton Williams; cousins, Garland Braune and wife, Linda, Ronnie Henkelman and wife, Sharon, and Ima Jean Roberts and husband, Doyle; many other loving extended family and friends.
