Gary Lee Howell

July 19, 1953 — November 6, 2020

Gary Lee Howell was born in Texarkana, Texas on July 19, 1953, to Robert (Bob) and Earlene (nee Crumpton) Howell. He passed away in his sleep early Friday morning, November 6, 2020.

Gary grew up in Greenville, Texas with his younger brother Mark. Some of their favorite childhood memories were time spent with their grandparents (Momma & Poppy) and cousins (Ronnie & Debbie) over the summer.

After high school Gary started working in the industrial distribution field, selling anything from o-rings to multi-ton drive systems. He became well known in the North Texas area for his expertise over decades of service in the industry.

Gary was a loving father, loyal spouse, and faithful friend, and loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones. Even in more recent years with health concerns, he still loved talking with everyone over the phone (but absolutely no texts, please). He was also a huge fan of the local Texas music scene, even going so far as being a guest DJ on KNON 89.3FM where he got to share some of his favorite tunes.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Robert Howell, and daughter-in-law Leah.

He is survived by his wife Sina (Sims) Howell; four children, Jason Howell of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ross Howell and wife Jennifer and children Andrew & Abigail of Arlington, Texas, James Rowan and wife Amanda and children Tyler & Aiden of Burleson, Texas, and Loni Rowan of Ft. Worth, Texas; his mother, Earline Howell; his brother, Mark Howell and children Jessica & Austin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless loved ones.

Gary will forever live in our hearts and memories.
