Gary Carl Thomasson

BURLESON -- Gary Carl Thomasson, 59, of Burleson died Monday, June 29, 2009, at his home in Burleson. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Gary was born June 14, 1950, in Mineral Wells to Willis Alvin and Etta Viola Stephens Thomasson. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Gary loved singing and playing the guitar. He accepted Christ in Yesletta at the age of 12. Gary served as a music minister and deacon at the Westpark Baptist Church in Pecos. He was preceded in death by Cynthia Denise Davis Thomasson and his father. Survivors: Wife, Gwendolyn Thomasson of Burleson; mother, Etta Trammell of Granbury; sons, Jason Thomasson and wife, Ashley, of San Antonio and Jeremy Thomasson of Odessa; daughter, Jessica Thomasson of Stephenville; stepson, Michael Butler and wife, Cristy, of Burleson; stepdaughters, Hershey Ludwick and husband, Todd, of Burleson, Michelene Randell and husband, James, of Grandview, Jennifer Drow and husband, Art, of Joshua; 13 grandchildren; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Tammy and Mackey Freise of Stephenville; brother, Steve Thomasson and wife, Tylithia, of Lake Worth; and sister, Etta Elaine Vessels of Granbury.
