CROWLEY -- Genella M. Sharp, 84, of Crowley, a retired postal clerk after 30 years of service and homemaker, passed away Sunday Jan. 16, 2011 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 am Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Crowley Cemetery in Crowley. Visitation: 6-8 pm Tues. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Genella was born June 14, 1926 in Lillian to Oliver Floyd and Lizzie Davis Gilley. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Genella was an avid camper. She loved going fishing, butterflies and going to the coast. Genella was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Sharp and 3 brothers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the James L. West Alzheimer Center at 1111 Summit Ave. Ft. Worth. Survivors: Daughter, Lissa Watson and husband Glenn; sons, Kim Sharp and wife Arlettia , Mike Sharp; sisters, Audrey Sitton and husband Bobby, Mazell Hoffman; grandchildren, Amy Veselka, Donna Ybarra, Kristal Pegram, Brian Burns, Lacey Warren, Ethan Watson, Magyn Whitaker, Wes McDaniel; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
