Genesa Myres

Genesa Myres, loving mother of two, proud grandmother of six, and great grandmother of two passed away on the morning of Tuesday, November 1, 2022.  Genesa was born on March 11, 1942.  She grew up in Cleburne, Texas with her parents Bill and Colleta Smith and sister Brenda (Smith) Parnell.  She met her loving husband Butch while they were still in high school.  They were married in 1961 and shared 58 wonderful years until his death in July of 2019.  Genesa was a stay-at-home mom to her two sons Jim Bill and Bryan until she began working for the Burleson Independent School District as a paraprofessional in 1982.  She loved her time at Mound and Norwood elementary schools.  Genesa adored her family and was devoted to them.  She enjoyed nothing more than having them all in a room full of laughter, love, and fellowship.

Genesa was proceeded in death by her husband Butch, parents Bill and Colleta Smith, and sister Brenda Parnell.  She is survived by her sister in-law and brother in-law Linda and CW Honea, brother in-law David Parnell, son JB and daughter in-law Lorie Myres, son Bryan and daughter in-law Jana Myres, grandchildren Trevor, Meagan, Seth, Jackie, Colton and Bethany, great grandsons Nash and Briggs, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved dearly.
