George C. Davis

George C. Davis 85 of Burleson a retired engineer for Lockheed-Martin Corp. died Wed. Aug. 12, 2009 in Fort Worth. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. George was born Aug. 25, 1923 in Mesa, CO. to John and Florence Martin Davis. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II aboard the USS Hopewell. He loved to fish and was a member of the Burleson Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Martin and Lloyd Davis; sisters, Mable and Mildred Davis, and Gertrude Aspiasu. Survivors: Wife Anita Davis of Burleson; sons, Gary Wayne Davis and wife Laurie of Whitney, Kenneth Charles Davis and wife Ladonna of Mansfield, Bret Allen Ford of Fort Worth; brother, John Davis and wife Juanita of Grand Junction, CO.; grandsons, Timothy Davis, Thomas Ford, Ashley Richards, Eli Davis; granddaughters, Kristy Dixon, Allyson Davis, Annie Ford; Great grandson, Jackson; great granddaughters, Maddie, Katie, and Alexandria.
