Gerald Adolph Boelter

Gerald Adolph Boelter, devoted husband, beloved father, avid golfer, and faithful follower of Christ, was promoted to Heaven on July 9, 2024, at the age of 92.
Gerald was born on December 2, 1931, to Frederick and Wilhelmina Boelter in Abbottsford, Michigan. Raised with a strong sense of duty and integrity, Gerald's life was marked by service and devotion to his family, country, and faith.
On December 13, 1949, Gerald enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country as a propeller mechanic in Japan during the Korean War. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and camaraderie, values that he carried with him throughout his life.
Following his military service, Gerald pursued a career as an engineer, most of which was through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, a profession he excelled in due to his sharp mind and meticulous attention to detail. His contributions to the field were highly regarded, and he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and peers.
Outside of his professional life, Gerald was an avid golfer, finding joy and relaxation on the green. He often shared his love for the game with his wife, June. They also enjoyed traveling the country together and exploring different golf courses as they went.
A devoted family man, Gerald cherished his role as a father to his three daughters. He imparted wisdom, guidance, and love to each of them, always encouraging them to pursue Christ and live with integrity.
Gerald was also a devoted fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys, following their seasons with enthusiasm and loyalty. His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for his faith. A devoted Christ follower, Gerald found solace and strength in the word of God throughout his life. His faith was central to who he was, shaping his values, decisions, and relationships.
Gerald Adolph Boelter leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and faith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ernestine (Hootie). He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, June, and his three daughters, Susan Nation (Tim) of Canyon, Texas, Judi Wooten (Ken) of Killeen, Texas, and Phyllis Boelter of San Antonio, Texas, 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren to be born this year.
A visitation to celebrate Gerald's life will be held on Sunday, July 14 from 4-6pm at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Tx. A graveside service will be Monday, July 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne, Tx. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethseda Baptist Church (100 W. Bethseda Rd. Burleson, Tx 76028).
Gerald's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
