Gilbert Ray Lovell, 85, of Joshua, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Burleson, TX. Celebration of Life Service: 11AM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Visitation: Tuesday, August 1st from 6-8PM. Interment: Mansfield City Cemetery in Mansfield, TX. Gilbert was born on May 20, 1932 in Whitney, TX. He served as a Corporal with the Marines in the Korean War. Gilbert spent many years raising roosters and recently enjoyed playing Poker with friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Lovell; step-son, Larry Don Jones; grandson, Chris Jones; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors: son, Brad Lovell and wife, Rachael of Crowley; two granddaughters, Bailey and Ava Lovell; step-son, Randy Jones, of Seguin, TX; 3 sisters; 1 brother; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
