Glenda Kay (McGee) Brown was born in Dallas, Texas on May 6, 1959, and passed away in Dallas surrounded by her family on January 17, 2022.
She graduated from Skyline High School and obtained an Associate's Degree from Eastfield College. She graduated from the Dallas Police Academy as a cadet at the age of 17. She went on to become a Dallas Police Officer working in the patrol, vice, and intelligence divisions and was promoted to sergeant in 1986. She later became a rural postal carrier for the USPS. She had a love for animals, gardening, and cooking. She enjoyed being outdoors, but found her greatest joy being Mamie to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Brown; daughter Whitney and husband Ben Ogle; daughter Hannah Moore; sister Vicki and husband Tom Cobb; brother Bryan and wife Dianna McGee; brother Gary McGee; step-daughter Ashton and husband Wes Whitacre; step-daughter Taylor Brown; step-son Holden Brown; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Mary McGee and her daughter Lindsey.
