BURLESON -- Glenn Monroe, 78, a ret. farmer, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 at his residence in Burleson. Funeral: 2:00 pm Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Long Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 pm Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Glenn was born June 17, 1929 in Hood Co. to Lawrence Earl and Laura Werts Monroe. Glenn was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served his country as a Medic in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Glenn loved to work, raise heifers, watch his crops grow. He also loved spending time at the coffee shop and taking naps in the hay field. Glenn was preceded by a sister, Margaret Gray; brother, Bo Monroe; son, Phil Monroe. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice -1208 W. Henderson Cleburne, Tx 76033. Survivors: Wife, Melba Monroe of Burleson; daughter, Sheila Chatman of Burleson; brothers, Joe Monroe and wife Betty of Granbury, Curtis Monroe and wife Cathy of Granbury; grandsons, Chance and Cassidy Chatman; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
