JOSHUA -- Gracie Faye Vaughn, 87, a retired drapery seamstress and homemaker, died Monday, April 24, 2006, in Hillsboro. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel, between Burleson and Joshua. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne. Gracie Faye Vaughn was born April 11, 1919, in Montague to Rufus and Mary Plumlee Phrares. She married Howard Clifton Vaughn on June 12, 1939, in Pilot Point. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of First Baptist Church in Joshua. She enjoyed sewing and needlepoint, and loved the beach in Galveston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Patricia Vaughn; sisters, Beaulah Popejoy, Rowena Brooks and Alice Oxford; brother, Earnest Phares; and son-in-law, Bobby Braddock. Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Braddock of Hillsboro; granddaughter, Sharon Braddock of Milford; niece, Helen Edwards; and several other family members
