Harold Frederick Donaldson

After a long battle with cancer, Harold ‘Fred' Donaldson went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 21, 2012. Fred was born on Dec. 29, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school, he moved to Ft. Worth, Texas, where he lived all his adult life, except for the 4 years that he served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Fred married Marion Rice on April 17, 1965 and they had 2 daughters, Cheryl and Michelle. After returning to Ft Worth, Fred worked for Southwestern Bell and AT&T as a data communications specialist and retired after 32 years with the company. He served as a deacon in the Baptist church, most recently with Crestmont Baptist church in Burleson and he and Marion were always very involved in various ministries within the church. Fred was an avid fan of TCU football for many years, but his favorite activity over the past 2 decades has been spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his bride Marion; daughters Cheryl and her husband Warren, Michelle and her husband Rick; parents-in-law Dulan and Earlene Rice; and 4 grandchildren, Colton and his bride Hannah, Brianna, Wyatt and Grant. A service to celebrate Fred's life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 24 at Crestmont Baptist Church, 640 NW Tarrant Ave in Burleson, TX.
