Hattie Ruth Wise Hawkins

CROWLEY -- Hattie Ruth Wise Hawkins, 80, of Crowley, a retired bookkeeper for Walgreens, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Ruth was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Grandview to Lonnie and Annie Johnson Wise. Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved dancing, working on her job at Walgreens and being around people. In the 1950s, Ruth also worked for Leonard Brothers Department Store, where she met her husband. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Mack Hawkins; and brothers, Wayne Wise and Harold Wise. Survivors: Daughters, Ronda Sue Dickerson and husband, Leo Jr., of Crowley and Ruth Ann Williamson and husband, John, of Odessa; son, William John Hawkins and Rosemary of Crowley; grandchildren, Jason Dickerson, Jennifer Ruth Williamson, Joey Williamson, Shandy Hawkins, Shawn Hawkins, Eric Hawkins and Nicholas Hawkins; and great-grandchildren, Collin Dickerson, Justice Dickerson and Jonathan Williamson.
