Hazel Cobern born Nov. 15, 1913 to R. Dell Gregston and Alta Gregston in Roswell, New Mexico, third of nine children. "Grandma" was feisty, fiercely independent and had her own drummer. Mostly we could never find the beat, but she showed us toughness and spirit. She was able to roam the outdoors and dig those flowerbeds until past her 90th birthday. She loved animals, babies, music, dancing, crossword puzzles, and painting. She stayed current with Hollywood gossip and her political views were no secret. We will miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, and a granddaughter, Sheron Cunniff. Survivors: Daughters, Nelda Cunniff Isenberg of Joshua, Lana Brown and husband, Larry of Hamilton; sister, Leotte Brown of Benbrook; grandchildren, Jerry Cunniff and wife, Judy, Allen Cunniff and wife, Karen, Lonnie Brown and wife, Shawn, Lacey Brown and husband, Jeff; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
