BURLESON -- Helen Lois Wilson Clowdus, 92, of Burleson, a retired bookkeeper for the Fort Worth Water Department, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Reece Prairie Baptist Church, Burleson. Interment: Bethany Cemetery, Alvarado. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Reece Prairie Baptist Church Mission Fund, 9705 CR 1016, Burleson, Texas 76028. Mrs. Clowdus was born Dec. 4, 1917, in Everman to William Albert and Carrie Catherine Berry Wilson. She married Howard Russell Clowdus on Aug. 7, 1935, in Alvarado. She had been a member of Reece Prairie Baptist Church for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James, William and Raymond Wilson; sister, E. Ruth Sigmon; and grandson, Greg Fletcher. Survivors: Husband of 75 years, Howard Russell Clowdus; sons, James R. Clowdus and wife, Martha, of Lampasas and Kenneth A. Clowdus and wife, Linda, of Brownwood; daughter, Gail M. Fletcher and husband, Dale, of Hurst; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
