Helen Maxine Sampson Korn, 93, of Joshua passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at home with her family by her side. Graveside service: Private. Public memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday, St. Francis Village of Crowley Chapel, the Rev. Ken Parlin officiating. Visitation: None scheduled. Helen was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Red Oak, Iowa. She married Clyde Elmo Korn on Feb. 20, 1945, in Corpus Christi. Helen will be greatly missed and remembered with much love. So much gratitude is expressed to Visiting Angels of Granbury and Vitas Hospice who have the most remarkable, caring and skilled people available who ensured all her needs were met. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clyde Korn; parents, Clayton and Hazel Sampson; sisters, Dorthy Peters and Louise Smith; and grandson, Joshua Taylor. Survivors: She is survived by her children, Dale Korn and wife, Mary, of Fort Smith, Ark., Beverly "BJ" and husband, Larry Taylor, of Joshua; sisters, Lois Scavo and Deany Hoeme; granddaughters, Kari James, Jennifer King and Celesta Harris; great-grandchildren, Sierra Brookshire, Michael King, Dalilah James, Joshua King; and many extended family.
