Herbert E. Wade

JOSHUA -- Herbert E. Wade, Jr., 71, of Joshua, passed from this life, Monday August 8, 2016. Memorial Service: 11AM Saturday, August 13, Oak Grove Baptist Church, Burleson. In Lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Oak Grove Benevolence Fund. Herb was born April 25, 1945 in Galena, Kansas to Jessie and Herbert Wade, Sr. He moved to Texas where he began his career at Texas Electric Service Co. retiring after 40 years of service in Transmission Line design. After retirement, he continued his career as a consultant for M and S Engineering. Herb was united in marriage to Shirley Wilson on September 1, 1972. They were side by side in marriage for nearly 44 years until his passing. Herb always said he was so fortunate to have all of his family live so close to him. Survivors: wife, Shirley Wade; daughter, Jaymie Sharp and husband Ryan, of Joshua; sons, Austin Wade and wife Kandace, of Cleburne, Jarrod Wade and wife Melissa, of Joshua; and 9 grandchildren.
