BURLESON -- H.L. "Tack" Nail, 84, a retired parts supervisor for General Dynamics, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 9 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Mr. Nail was born Nov. 28, 1920, in Bowie to Mathew B. and Molly Williford Nail. He married Betty Lee on May 30, 1953, in Port Arthur. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Burleson Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon. Tack was very quick-witted and loved to tell a joke. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Nail, in 2004. Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Betty Nail of Burleson; son, Keith Nail and wife, Gloria, of Weatherford; daughters, Sharon Derrington and husband, Steve, of Pflugerville and Athelyn Nail of Leander; grandchildren, Brian, Derek, Dustin, Michelle; six great-grandchildren; future son-in law, Jimmy Hattaway; and granddaughter-in law, Amanda Youngblood.
