Howard was born Feb. 15, 1961, in Fort Worth to George and Linda Lee Lackey. He was a longtime electrician in the Burleson area. He loved to fish and there was no place he would rather be than on Lake Bridgeport with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and member of Mountain Valley Funeral Club. Howard loved life and lived it to the fullest. He worked as hard as he played. He was the definition of courage, strength and survival, with his fight to beat melanoma for many years, since 2004, especially since the last year and a half. Never giving up for a moment! He did not lose to cancer, he beat cancer by how he lived each day. No more sorrow, no more pain, until we meet again some day, H. Howard was a loving son, father, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, George "Lizard" Lackey, and several grandparents.
