Idalena Vondelle McElroy, 64, homemaker, passed away April 18, 2013, in a Decatur hospital. Service: 10:00 AM, Monday, April 22, 2013 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Bethany Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Sunday at Funeral Home. Idalena was born April 20, 1948, in Fort Worth. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, taking vacations and traveling. Idalena was always surrounded by her grandchildren, which she loved. Survivors: husband, R.L. McElroy of Azle; son, Rickey McElroy of Midlothian, Richard McElroy of Azle; daughters, Beverly Birmingham- Allan of Azle, Celeste Cruz of Azle; 9 grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
