Ina Jones

Ina Jones, age 77, a retired homemaker, passed away peacefully at a local nursing home in Burleson after a short illness, on Monday, April 11, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hugh Jones and her parents Mamie and John Alley, of Newfoundland, Canada. She is survived by her four sisters, Shirley Gale, Blanche Anderson, Marguerite Kitchner and Jane Noel of Canada.. Ina was born on September 9, 1927 at Robinsons, Newfoundland in Canada. She attended school there and was a member of the Girl Guides, the Canadian Girl Scouts. She met her husband Billy Jones while he was stationed at Ernest Harmon Air Force Base at Stephenville, Newfoundland with the United States Air Force. They were wed on October 31, 1956 and remained happily married for 48 years. Billy and Ina lived in Canada, Turkey, Nevada and Texas, retiring to Burleson in 1980. They were a loving and devoted couple and wonderful neighbors. Ina will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
