Iva Roden

Services for Iva Nadine (Lowery) Roden, 90, of Burleson, will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Monday, March 10, 2025, at Burleson church of Christ, with Hutt Hutson and Craig Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-4:00 PM Sunday March 9, 2025, at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home, 3407 SW Wilshire Blvd, Joshua, TX 76058. A burial gathering officiated by Buddy Fry will follow in Grandview Cemetery north pavilion 8501 FM 4 Grandview, TX 76050.

Nadine passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. She was born October 27, 1934, in Grandview Texas, to Robert Allen and Sarah Annie (Sain) Lowery. On June 6, 1950, in Grandview, Texas, Nadine married James Weldon Roden, her high school sweetheart. She loved being a homemaker and raising their four children as well as being a loving grandmother who spent countless hours with her grandchildren. She is loved for her dedication to sending each of her family members and friends cards for special events, like birthdays, anniversaries, graduations etc., as well as playing all kinds of games with family and friends. She had a quiet and meek spirit and a strong servant heart which led her to serve many years in her community delivering Meals on Wheels and various other church and community activities. Her memory was impeccable even up until her last hours. Her legacy as a servant of Christ will live on in the lives of those she touched.

She is survived by her brother, Milton Ray Lowery and wife Joyce; children, Randy Roden and wife, Jaime, Latisha Lowe and husband Ronnie, Dennis Roden, Lee Roden and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Natalie (Jason) Mangham, Chatt (Jennifer) Roden, Daniel Roden, Nathan (Amy) Lowe, Kirk (Sabrina) Roden, Neena (Joel) Willliams, Ryan (Alyssa) Roden, Lyndi (Derek) Young, Caitlan (Ben) Neely, Zachary (Natalie) Roden, and Hannah Roden; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Sarah Lowery, her husband James Roden, son James Vince Roden and granddaughter-in-law Toni (Trojacek) Roden.
