Jack Devaney

Jack Devaney, 82, a retired Firefighter (City of Waco), died Thursday, January 25, 2007 in Fort Worth. Memorial Service: 5:00 P.M. Sunday January 28, 2007 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: DFW National Cemetery. Jack was born July 12, 1924 in Waco to Fred F. and May Thomason Devaney. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Jack married Bobbie Cardwell on May 28, 1948 in Waco.He served his country proud in the U.S. Navy. Jack served the City of Waco as a Firefighter for 35 years before retirement. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Devaney; grandson, J.W. Devaney. Survivors: Wife, Bobbie Devaney of Fort Worth; son, Jim F. Devaney of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Jenifer, Jason, Megan, Ashley; great grandchildren, Ryan who was special, Michael and Acineth ; brother, Fred Devaney of San Angelo.
