Jack Guthrie, 76, of Joshua, passed away August 29, 2016. Born on November 27, 1939 in Little River, Texas, he was a lifelong Joshua resident. Jack served the Lord as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Joshua for 54 years, and worked in the community through various charities, political avenues and boards. He loved to play tennis with his wife, ride his bicycle, spend time with his family, and was very proud of his grandkids. Jack was a program manager at Lockheed Martin/ General Dynamics for 45 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly, his mother, Lola, and sister, Jacqueline. Survivors: daughter, Patricia Van Bebber, and husband David of Auburn, IL; sons, Tim Guthrie of Knoxville, TN, John Guthrie, and wife Cassie of Burleson, Paul Guthrie, and wife Holly of El Campo; grandchildren, Timothy, and wife Hannah, Sarah, Nathan, Cayleigh, Rachel, Rebekah, Summer; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
