ALVARADO -- Jack S. Paxton, 80, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, in Alvarado. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Victory Family Church, 455 NW John Jones Drive, Burleson. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Jack was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Fort Worth to Hoyt and Lucille Splawn Paxton. Jack married Sue Harrelson on April 30, 1982, in Mansfield. He proudly served his country in the Merchant Marine during World War II. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved playing golf and was a member of Mountain Valley Country Club. Jack was an avid sports enthusiast. He also liked RV traveling. Survivors: His wife, Sue Paxton of Alvarado; daughters, Sherry Moore and husband, Jim, of Sulphur Springs, Debbie Paxton and Tom Griffith of Austin and Loweda Little of Arlington; sons, John Beuke and Patricia of Fort Worth and Doyle Beuke and wife, Kim, of Corinth; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill Paxton and wife, Margaret, of Covington.
